Yarn and Patterns
Rowan – Ahhhh Rowan. What can we tell you about Rowan except that it’s fabulous! If you don’t know Rowan, you haven’t kept up with the rest of the knitting world. This gorgeous line comes to us from Britain. Not only are their yarns a thrill to work with, their patterns are, how do they put it… “British Cool”. We say that they’re cool anywhere, especially anything when done in Rowan’s Biggy Print, or Big Wool. These funky, super polar yarns knit up super fast on 12 mm to 20 mm needles and the patterns are hip to knit. We also carry many other yarns, like, Felted Tweed, Kidsilk Haze, Spray, and Night, Summer Tweed, Bamboo Tape, and new for this Fall, Kidsilk Aura – a thicker version of the popular Kidsilk Haze.
Debbie Bliss – Renowned designer Debbie Bliss could be one of the luckiest women in the world. Every year she publishes oodles of edible patterns and guess what? She also has her own line of yarns.
Noro – B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. Noro yarns are created in the inspiring land of Japan. Every skein is a work of art that has been individually dyed for your knitting pleasure. These yarns are so beautiful that you may even be inspired to create your own designs. For example, create your very own felted bag with Noro Kuryeon. This blend of silk, lamb’s wool, cashmere and nylon is super soft and it comes in beautiful saturated colours. New for this fall, we also have Noro Silk Mountain, a boucle yarn made of wool silk and kid mohair.
Colinette – The beauty of Colinette yarn comes from hand-dying the yarn in small amounts. Each and every skein is unique. Whether you’re making a scarf, poncho or a sweater, your Colinette project will be a one of a kind.
Filatura Di Crosa – we have a wide selection of yarns by Filatura di Crosa, including soft merino wools, baby yarn, and super fun fancy yarns for making great scarves.
New for Fall, we also have the Maxime sock yarn, and the Superior cashmere/silk blend.
Fleece Artist– This exquisite line is hand dyed in Nova Scotia and could be one of the most beautiful yarns that we’ve ever seen. Get it while you can because supplies are always limited! Check out the new Sea Wool yarn, great for knitting socks, or a fine sweater!
Handmaiden Fine Yarn– From the daughter of Fleece Artist, comes Handmaiden! These are luxury yarns that are hand dyed, and come in amazing fibres like 100% Silk, Cashmere, and silk and wool blends. You have to feel them to see how soft they are, and their colours are amazing!
Be Sweet
This brightly coloured yarn lines comes from South Africa. Each purchase supports the impoverished community by supporting the local school, and by giving the women who work at Be Sweet the means to earn a living with skilled work. We currently carry a number of Be Sweet yarns, from the Magic Ball- which changes texture, colour, and fibre every few rows to the brushed and boucle mohair.
Brown Sheep
We carry two of Brown Sheep’s most popular yarns – Cotton Fleece and Lamb’s Pride. Cotton Fleece is a cotton/wool blend (heavy on the cotton) with a crispness and sheen that really highlight stitch-work. Lamb’s Pride is an un-plied wool/mohair blend with a very soft hand – an ideal felting yarn. Both of these worsted-weight yarns have great yardage and come in clear, delicious colours.
Malabrigo
Perhaps the softest 100% wool available, we now Malabrigo Worsted in many scrumptious hand-painted colourways! Aquarella – a super-bulky thick/thin yarn similar to Colinette Point 5 in weight and texture, but more subtle in the colour combinations. Both yarns offer excellent value for yardage as well!
Mission Falls 1824 Wool and Cotton
If you have kids to knit for, then this is the yarn you’ll want to knit with. This machine-washable aran-weight wool or cotton is perfect for sweaters, hats, scarves, or blankets for the wee ones. That’s not to say that adults won’t love it too! Dozens of fabulous colours at a great price point – what’s not to love?

The Fibre Company
The Fibre Company takes an artisanal approach to yarn, using rich dyes and unusual fibre blends. We carry Terra- a beautiful chunky weight single ply blend of merino, alpaca and silk; Khroma – a merino/alpaca blend that comes in beautiful colours; Savannah – a bulky weight merino, organic cotton, linen, and soya fibre yarn; and Organik – an aran weight organic wool, alpaca, and silk blend.
Crystal Palace Yarns– we are excited to offer several fun yarns by Crystal Palace, including Nubbles, Cotton Chenille, and Squiggle!
